The Alexia Foundation for World Peace and Cultural Understanding Collection contains materials related to the organization founded by the parents and mentor of Alexia Tsairis, one of thirty-five Syracuse University students killed in the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland. The Alexia Foundation awards grants and funding to professional and student photojournalists, and is committed to furthering the cause of world peace. The Timothy Michael Cardwell Collection contains Photographs and Printed Materials . The photographs provide a glimpse into Tim's semester in London in the fall of 1988. These photographs were donated by Thomas Clegg, a friend of Tim's who spent some time in London with Tim during that semester. The printed material series contains a book called My 39 ½ Years in the U.S. Army Reserve: January 1964-July 2003 by Douglas S. McLaughlin Sgt. 1st Class, U.S. Army Reserve (Retired) that contains a section relating to the funeral for Tim.
